This year has been a busy one! Many of our family and friends got married this summer so we were very busy traveling back and forth across Washington. We bought our home at the end of last year, all 900 square feet of it! But it's wonderful to be homeowners. Stephen is loving his job at the US Army Corps of Engineers, he spends most of his days filming and editing video, taking pictures and "working" on various social media web sites. Courtni got laid off this summer and since found a new part time job and started her masters in speech-language pathology online through Idaho State University.
Stephen's brother, Jeremy, is still recovering from his motorcycle accident that happened the end of May 2009. After some hard work from a huge team of volunteers, part of the Dohertys' home has been renovated. We added 8 feet to the side of the home and made a wheelchair accessible bathroom and larger bedroom for Jeremy. Stephen's parents brought Jeremy home in June, so he is home now and starting to get stronger. He has a wonderful therapy team in Boise that is really pushing him to be more independent and work harder than ever. Stephen's oldest brother, Eric, has since moved to Boise to be closer to the family and is really enjoying his new job and downtown apartment. Courtni's sister, Kristen, is a senior this year at Walla Walla University and will be graduating in June. We are so proud of her! Since she's in College Place with us, we see her most often!
We have three dogs now, a very full home! We got a new puppy last Christmas, he was only 3 pounds when we got him, but now he is one year old. Kinley is a bundle of energy and at 72 pounds he hasn't completely figured out how to move the weight gracefully. Aiden is two and a half, and he's still an absolute angel. Kinley's about 20 pounds heavier than him, but Aiden's faster so he holds his own. And last but not least, Miss Holly. Holly is now 12 years old and although she's the smallest of the three, she is still the boss. The boys know that she won't take any trouble from them!
